Simba
My Story
Simba is a handsome ginger tabby Arabian Mau who is currently waiting for his chance to travel from the UAE to the UK.
His rescuer has spent months desperately trying to find him a forever home, but despite every effort, nobody has come forward. With rescue spaces completely overwhelmed, Simba currently spends much of his day living in a cage because there is simply nowhere else for him to go.
It's heartbreaking for such a loving, affectionate boy who longs for nothing more than freedom, companionship and a family to call his own.
Simba has already overcome incredible challenges in his short life. He is an FIP survivor a true little warrior who fought against the odds and came out the other side. Now, all he needs is someone to give him the happy ending he deserves.
Likes & Dislikes
Simba is everything you'd want in a companion.
He absolutely adores people and is happiest curled up on someone's lap, sleeping peacefully and soaking up all the love and attention he can get. After spending so much time confined to a cage, all he wants is the freedom to stretch out, play and simply enjoy being a cat.
He's still young, full of playful energy and loves interactive toys and games, but when playtime is over, you'll usually find him searching for the nearest lap to snuggle into.
Simba is also FIV positive. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) affects a cat's immune system but isn't easily spread through normal day-to-day living. It is primarily transmitted through deep bite wounds, meaning many FIV-positive cats live happily alongside other friendly cats without any issues. With good care, FIV-positive cats can enjoy long, healthy and happy lives.
Ideal Home
Simba is looking for a loving indoor home where he can finally leave his cage behind forever.
His ideal home would have:
- ❤️ Plenty of cuddles and lap time
- ❤️ Someone who has lots of love to give
- ❤️ Lots of toys and opportunities to play
- ❤️ Another friendly cat, or an FIV-positive companion
- ❤️ A calm, cat-friendly dog that he can be introduced to gradually
- ❤️ An indoor-only home to help protect his health
Simba has survived so much already, yet he still greets the world with love, trust and hope. He isn't asking for much just a warm lap, a safe home and someone who'll never make him sleep behind cage bars again.
